"the mclobster is back"...this is the quote that greets customers as they enter one of halifax's many mcdonalds. according to one source and former mcdick's employee, this is an annual occurence similar to the popular shamrock shakes (do they still have those?). mcdonalds actually has a lot of regional variations on their menu. ever tried the touchdown burger? me neither, because you can only get them in wisconsin. apparently in 1963 ray kroc invented the hulaburger which replaced the traditional beef patty with a pinapple ring for roman catholics that couldn't eat meat on fridays. unfortunately for the r-cs it flopped and they had to go back to not eating at mcdonalds on fridays. at any rate, you can be sure that this intrepid reporter will investigate this biological anomaly further and get back to you soon.
